Emergency Response Procedures

General dentistry (restorative and preventive dentistry) encompasses the fundamental practices aimed at protecting oral health, treating existing issues, and ensuring teeth remain in their best condition both aesthetically and functionally.

We view general dentistry as a 'chain.' Neglecting a simple dental cleaning or a small filling can eventually lead to a root canal treatment, then to a bridge, and ultimately to the need for an implant (tooth loss). This is why regular 6-month check-ups are the most essential part of maintaining a lifelong healthy smile.

1. Preventive and Basic Treatments

These procedures aim to take precautions before problems escalate or to repair minor damages as they occur:

  • Dental Scaling & Polishing (Detertraj): The removal of plaque and tartar from the tooth surfaces to protect gum health and prevent gum recession or bleeding.

  • Fluoride Application & Fissure Sealants: Protective treatments used to strengthen the enamel and shield teeth against decay, especially recommended for children.

2. Restorative (Filling) Procedures

These procedures focus on treating tooth decay and preserving the natural integrity of your teeth:

  • Composite Fillings: Once the decay is removed, the cavity is filled with a tooth-colored composite material that blends seamlessly with your natural tooth.

  • Root Canal Treatment (Endodontics): When the pulp (the inner structure containing nerves and blood vessels) becomes infected, it is carefully removed, disinfected, and sealed. This is the final stage of treatment that saves the tooth from extraction.

3. Surgical Procedures

These procedures involve the removal or surgical adjustment of teeth and tissues through simple or complex clinical interventions:

  • Tooth Extractions: Performed in cases where a tooth is too severely damaged to be saved.

  • Impacted Tooth Operations (Wisdom Teeth): The surgical removal of teeth—especially wisdom teeth—to prevent them from damaging surrounding tissues or causing overcrowding.

  • Periodontal (Gum) Surgeries: Surgical interventions to treat gum overgrowth, recession, or chronic inflammation, ensuring a healthy foundation for your teeth.

4. Prosthetic Treatments (Removal of Deficiencies)

These procedures are designed to restore chewing and speaking functions after tooth loss:

  • Dental Crowns (Kapsama): Used when a single tooth has extensive structural loss. The tooth is covered with high-quality materials like porcelain or zirconium to restore its strength and appearance.

  • Removable Dentures (Hareketli Protezler): These are prosthetic appliances that the patient can insert and remove. They are typically used in cases of significant tooth loss to provide support for the entire arch.

5. Digital Dentistry

  • CAD/CAM Systems: This technology allows us to take digital impressions and produce your restorations (crowns or veneers) with extreme precision directly in our clinic. Instead of waiting days for a laboratory, we use computer-controlled milling machines to create your new teeth within hours.

  • Digital Smile Design (DSD): Using specialized software, we simulate your post-treatment smile on a computer before the procedure even begins. This allows you to preview your final look and ensures the result is perfectly tailored to your facial features.
