1. What is Botox (Botulinum Toxin)?

Botox is a medical treatment derived from botulinum toxin. It works by temporarily blocking the signals between nerves and muscles, allowing the targeted muscles to relax or stop contracting.

Common Applications in Our Clinic:

Masseter Botox (Teeth Grinding Treatment): Our most frequent application. By targeting the chewing muscles (masseter), Botox reduces their excessive force. This prevents teeth wearing (attrition) and significantly relieves TMJ (jaw joint) pain.
V-Line (Facial Slimming): Relaxing the masseter muscle reduces the width of the lower face, creating a slimmer, more oval, or heart-shaped (V-line) facial contour.
Gummy Smile Correction: If your upper gums are overly visible when you smile, small Botox touches to the upper lip muscles prevent the lip from rising too high, creating a perfectly balanced smile.
